A #ttrpg nerd and a #rodent lover.
Pfp is my #hamster, Mister Peanut Butter, looking shocked at me taking a picture of him while he’s busy grooming himself. Banner picture is of my two #cavy boars, Oreo (right) and Coffecake (left), who are claiming that I have never fed them once and will soon starve to death, despite the full food bowl behind them.

I like playing evil dickasses. Thankfully all of Eberron is morally grey at best. House Jorasco, for example, happens to be “what if the U.S. Healthcare System, in addition to being extortionate and evil, was also part of the executive branch?”
To be fair, the god I picked would probably disapprove of me being extortionate. But it’s not like there aren’t priests living absurdly wealthy lives that Jesus sure wouldn’t approve of. #joelosteen
@dnd
Didnt have space to clarify details about my character. In Eberron, being a priest just means you went to seminary, so it’s totally reasonable for him to claim to be a wizard priest. Since he has the Mark of Healing, I’m going to rp him as the embodiment of the American Healthcare system, charging money for healing. Figured Pact of the Archfey would be most useful in huckstering.

It does make sense for covens to count as one patron. Seems in the spirit of hags to behave like that.

Okay, that chart is, like, 5 difference systems of measurement pretending to be one unit of measurement. The imperial system is bad, but it’s not quite as bad as that chart.
That said, I like how most imperial units are at a scale that feel nice. Like, most things you measure in feet are no more than 10 feet long, most things you measure in yards are less than a dozen yards long. Also, it’s nice that at 0° F you know road salt isn’t gonna work.

Who tf downvoted this? Lol
@ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling in case you are seeing this on Mastodon, these were the attached images
@ThisIsAManWhoKnowsHowToGling
Tf is with that pretentious-ass conclusion?
@bionicjoey
Back when I played in AL, the appeal was less about the content and more about the ability to show up somewhere with a Char sheet and know there will be a table to play at.

@mox
Thank you. This was very thorough, and very helpful.
@Toes
Not what I’m asking. I’m asking for lore ideas, like why would the King have outlawed Orcs and put a Bounty on their heads.
But is is common for flying characters to be banned. Not sure why. Everybody can get a bow or crossbow, and there’s no cover up there.
@LibertyLizard
I’m talking about in-world legality. #MCDM has lore about how dragonborn are created being that were crafted during the reign of Good King Omin, so they are a symbol of that better age. As such, the despotic Lord Ajax has placed a bounty for dragonborn heads.
I don’t really have anything comparable in my world, though? There is a bad guy evilling in a holding pattern over the western horizon, but I have other lore about his machinations.
> reddit is a good place
Are you sure about that?
@onlinepersona @thegiddystitcher that’s actually what I am doing. I found I can just follow all these peertube users from Mastodon, so that’s what I do
It’s really not as busted as it sounds, especially since this is likely a dragon with 1d8 hit points and a 15 in its highest stat
Personally, I think the best way to nerf a Dragon PC is strict timekeeping. Each year they get slightly bigger, each week their claws grow just enough to keep them from permanently silvering their claws, etc
But why have them at all? They don’t seem to do anything thematically that dwarves or orcs can’t do better
@neptune depends on the campaign. But tbh most dms don’t want to reinvent the wheel.
I’m fairly certain she hasn’t changed this because we’ve had conversations in-game about genetics and inbreeding, which implies DNA exists. We’ve also interacted with NPCs who have genetic disorders like Down Syndrome and hemophilia, which wouldn’t exist without DNA.
@grasshopper_mouse
I already know pokemon. I’m making an active effort to not be into pokemon anymore.
As a kid i wasnt allowed to watch tv or play videogames, so I’ve been trying to catch up on the childhoods everyone else had.
Trying to get out of MTG, not interested in the Pokemon TCG or the One Piece TCG because their mechanics aren’t interesting to me, and there is no amount of money you could pay me to deal with the average Yu-Gi-Oh player. The Digimon TCG seems cool, though.
