Why would someone want to add gendered pronouns to a language

For adding specificity to lamguage. If you are talking about several people, the disambiguation can be handy.

We could have add pronouns that distinguish by size, or age, etc.

The really stupid feature of most indo-european is the arbitrary gendering of most nouns.

Sounds like you are looking for a mentor, “life coach”, or even a therapist. Life coaches are unregulated and ill defined. The kind you would want are not likely to be looking for such a young client. Is there an older family member you can talk to (not parent or sibling)?

Talking through things can bring clarity, even if the person you are talking to has no advice.

Google is an advertising company. Their goal is to maximize profit from advertising. Avoiding government regulation is part of that goal. By imposing “good enough” self-regulation they hope keep governments from stepping in. Their solution is definitely better than the currently dying 3rd party cookie free-for-all.

Mozilla is right to question whether “targeted” ads are a good idea at all. I personally find it easier to ignore non-targeted ads, myself. But, if Mozilla decides not to cooperate & holds out for the Platonic ideal tech, they may cause ad dependent web sites to block Firefox completely. That would not be good for any of us.

I’ve aways assumed “normie” was an insult. But I might be over sensitive to such things, becaise “cis” also sounds like an insult to me.

This is how we arrive at the “always 30 years away” trope.

Once the top 1% are eaten, there will be a (slightly poorer) new top 1%. We’ll eat them. Eventuallt we will all rise to the top and be eaten. Thus, the circle of life will continue.

We still don’t know anything other than wild hand waving speculation about the eventual costs of fusion power. The ultimate solution may require a ton of unobtanium-spice alloy that has been tempered in a midoclorian bath. We have no F-ing clue what it’ll cost. But I can guarantee that there will be state sponsored conspiracy theories about all aspects of it. So let’s wait before we start fighting over the conspiracies. They are not ripe yet.
