Is it capitalism?
So does the Remzle.
Cat in the sun.
Please don’t bury me down in the cold cold ground
In all seriousness I’d rather they cut me up and pass me all around.
At least that one has a “jump to recipe” button at the top
Is this comic considered a hate crime in Canada?
It’s even softer than it looks, at least at first.

Everything @_danny@Lemmy.World said is fair.
I would add, as someone who read “The Lightning Tree” but not recently, it is recognizable as the same story with quite a bit added. It’s a nice novella and I like Rothfuss’s turn of phrase, but it doesn’t have the meat of the main story or the whimsy of “Slow Regard of Silent Things”
Also it is a little weird that the author’s note starts with “You might not want to buy this book”, of course I got it out of the library so I guess I can’t complain.
Wrath of Kahn,
It was the first movie my mom dropped me off at at about 12nyears old. I’m sure she was grateful she didn’t have to go.
I was not ready for the earworms. Still gives me the heebie-jeebies.
I went to Pulp Fiction 3 times on opening weekend.
That was a good weekend.
I’m not going to say Meatfucker did nothing wrong, but I always liked A Frank Exchange of Views .
Swiss-German is a pretty good secret language.
Perhaps more useful is to silently make your mouth into an “o” like you’re saying “go” if you want to go, or a line like you’re saying “stay” if you want to stay.
I’ve slept on one for 20+ years and they really work for me and my wife. Our current one is a platform bed with a futon matress from https://www.thefutonshop.com we got it in 2015 and it has lasted well. I’m sure there are other nice ones available.
If you need to fold it into a couch get one that folds in the direction that you lie in which keeps the lumps under control. If you don’t need to fold it, you can get a thicker mattress which will still be very firm.
If you sleep in it all the time, flip it over every month or two. Alternate between flipping it long ways and sideways.
Get a frame, even being a couple of inches off the floor gives it some air.
The biggest minus for me is that I’m so used to it all hotel/guest beds are too soft now.
We have one in our guest room too and have gotten more compliments than complaints FWIW.
Once, at the gwailo table of a wedding, I saw a picky eater mistake jelly fish for noodles, try them and like them.
Their face when they found out was…
More duck tongues for the rest of us.
Wrath of Kahn.
I was not ready for the ear worm scene.
“Well There’s Your Problem” a podcast about engineering disasters, with slides (and actionable threats,) fits surprisingly well. Especially The God-damn News section.
It’s usually that way here too, but yesterday, for whatever reason, there was no stress.
Cat politics. I don’t even pretend to understand it.
