Thanks. I looked it up and read that Google decided according to the latest news they’re not deleting YouTube accounts with video uploads. We’ll see.
Who’s going to wipe the old videos?
ha gottem!
That’s ok. I use Windows instead of Linux and I like it here since it’s not the endless circlejerk that mainstream reddit with all the influencer posts and bot accounts currently is. Lemmy feels like a village to me, while reddit is the dystopian hellscape from bladerunner.
Yes. The reason I learned about the Battle of the Bulge is from Battlefield 1942, not school.
Skill issue, what’s stopping other countries from creating better laws?
Maybe the cable was not of the 60 usd official licensed by apple type.
LifeProTip glue pocket calculator to steering wheel for these urgent conversions on the road
Nah, in Dutch it’s meter (plural: meters) too
This would be a good reason to delete my X account
I still have a Twitter eh I mean X account. Don’t really use it that much, other than following other people. But no way I’m letting one of Elon’s companies handle my finances.
It’s great. I started working in the factory in 2015. Don’t have to play that many other games anymore and runs well on older hardware. It has saved me a lot of money because of these 2 reasons.
Because they think government is inefficient by default, and a commercial business is motivated towards max efficiency to cut costs. Maybe all of this is true, but in capitalism companies also sell for the optimal price based on price elasticity. No competitors + essential live saving product = high prices.
I play Factorio, it was more stable at 0.8 alpha than the average €/$ 60 AAA game at release.
I just opened my gmail in Firefox and I don’t see this Chrome notification right now. Maybe it pops up every now and then. I wouldn’t be bothered by it that much, since started using Thunderbird as mail client last month, and the interface is so much better and customizable than gmail ever was. I did use Thunderbird a long time ago, but stopped when I got gmail in 2004. And all this time I thought Thunderbird still had the old classic UI. Apparently it became a bit too messy with all different volunteer contributions and Mozilla didn’t have a project management to stay with a certain direction. In Feb 2023 they announced in this blog post to rebuild Thunderbird from the ground up and invest the resources to support the community again, although with more control. Then a few months ago this big update to 115 was released, which was featured in a computer tech website so I became curious again. One of the best decisions of this year (although I’m still using it to access gmail), together with joining Lemmy of course.
I happen to know from own experience that my Firefox will become slow and crash randomly when I get near 1000 tabs. Then I discovered OneTab extension and I just all the open tabs to a single OneTab page where it can be found later If needed (but I rarely do 😅). But feels much easier than just closing all.
