  • same reason “PUBLISHERS” try to make a MVP battle royal 5 years after the genera hit its peak, or say that npc’s controlled by an llm is the future, or that single player games are dead.

publishers are stupid and greedy, and fall for denuvo sales tactics like people fall for time shares.

after following what the gaming industry has been up to for the last 2 decades you really can’t argue for publisher intelligence

  • my favorite is my login for my phone needing me to authenticate i with… the authenticator… on my phone…. which to log into the authenticator…. requires me to verify using the authenticatior…

you call the IT department and i get an AI telling me that all password retrievals are done through the web portal, so it sends the password reset… to my email, accessed by my phone, that needs me to authenticate using the authenticatior…

the real answer it to lie to the AI to talk to a person and ambush them with a password reset and don’t take no for an answer.

i am currently 1 month behind on my required training modules about the importance of network security.

  • by your claim, the field can have any series of numbers, that there is no way to determine if it is accurate, and the law that this was done to appease is bad, as in not able to obtain its expected result. and so the data is useless.

if some api/program/government wishes to get my information, they can ask me so that i may decline. there is no use case that these fields are a benefit to the user. and as such must be wrenched out with the fervor reserved for denying a fey creature your name.

if the argument is that these entities can get my name by other means anyway, then this data is redundant and useless.
