  • Button cameras are a thing, and shirt pockets are basically made for pens. I was into spy tech as a kid, and even 20+ years ago hidden camera tech was solid, and it’s better now with the general miniaturization of everything. I did a quick search and $100-200 can get you a really solid hidden camera that blends into your outfit even up close. For under $50 you can get something that you wouldn’t notice from across the street.

I think it’s a better idea to just legally mandate a red light that’s on every time the camera is. Kinda like when Japan mandated shutter sounds after creeps started taking upskirts.

  • They’re good for big groups and certain locations.

My wife has a big online friend group that likes to get together a couple times a year in various places around the US. For 15ish people, AirBnB is cheaper than hotels and lets everyone stay together in one place with room to congregate and cook real meals. It’s also easier to find cabins and stuff in remote nature areas than hotels.

We’re also planning a weeklong trip to NYC, and even with rewards points AirBnB was cheaper than a hotel.

Outside those specific circumstances, if it’s just us and we’re only spending a night or two in a less expensive location, hotels are basically always better

  • The second paragraph answers the first. We wait until we’re coordinated.

If you want to speed up the process, get out there and coordinate. You might be ready, the people here might be ready, but a few thousand geographically isolated people on a left-leaning niche forum aren’t gonna do it. Getting out into the community and getting active, that could actually shift sentiment.

Find a local organization with at least a hundred members. Even if you don’t align 100% with the DSA, join and go to meetings. That’s where you’re going to find people to coordinate with. Network with people, find out who has which skills, and volunteer your own. Participate in mutual aid. Canvas for leftist politicians. Even if you only care about revolution, going to these events and interacting with these causes will bring you in contact with the people who will coordinate with you.

  • You ever seen 3d prints from 20 years ago? They were low res goopy slop. Now we’re months away from off-the-shelf 8-toolhead printers. My newest printer uses dithering to blend 4 colors into nearly any color I could want. That tech can be used to blend flavors and textures rather than colors.

It’s a fascinating technology, with an active development base. I see no reason why the relatively near future won’t have actual 3d printed pizzas. With the right bed and nozzle heating, you can even get a nice crispy texture.

  • Food is mostly made of sugar, complex carbs, fat, and protein. You could probably make a pretty decent printer with a dozen cartridges, and fructose would be a reasonable choice for one of them. The pizza isn’t going to taste right without fructose in the tomato sauce.

Yeah it’s a joke but I’m getting into multi-material printing and printed food is actually a super interesting application.

Chaos is the base, undifferentiated reality. Order, and consequently disorder, is a subjective human concept.

Entropy is described as disorder because the layperson doesn’t know what entropy is, and disorder is equated with chaos because they don’t know what chaos is. Language is inconsistent.
