Is Hasan Piker really the biggest voice on the political left?

I would also like to become a tree! My grandma’s cabin that I spent a lot of time at growing up is right next to a national forest. I hope that type of service is more widely available when I die
There was a time when I was worried about changing people’s minds and trying to see things from their side. It’s not worth the effort any more, at least for me. They’re dug in and want to argue, but they aren’t open to changing their minds.
I don’t feel like it’s my responsibility to tolerate their hatred to try to explain why they should care about people that aren’t like them. I’d rather spend time with the people that I feel safe around and know aren’t bigoted
Today, Macías Nguema is regarded as one of the most kleptocratic, corrupt and dictatorial leaders in post-colonial African history.
I have changed my mind, definitely not goals
Oof. That is bleak, and all the more so because you’re probably dead on
How is offering users the option to set a backup/recovery email a dark pattern?
A lot of models are being trained on “synthetic” data now, right?
Pretty cool, good on ya Bitwarden
I’ve done this before with a laptop and KVM switch. It worked fine. YMMV depending on the dock and switch in question though. The only issue I ran into was needing separate cables for the mouse/keyboard and video from the switch to the dock.
Who do you think you’re helping with this?
IIRC, California overproduces electricity during sunny summer days due to solar, but solar production drops in the evenings right when demand is peaking due to people getting home from work and cooking dinner and whatnot. There are better applications for that energy than desalination though - battery storage right now, and maybe running electrolyzers for green hydrogen production someday in the future.
It usually makes more sense to pump water to a nearby reservoir uphill. That water can be released back through turbines when solar production is lower - pumped hydro are basically giant batteries. So not so much pumping it back upstream, but a similar idea, just without expensive desalination.
Not a saltwater coast, but the Ludington plant on Lake Michigan is a good example of this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludington_Pumped_Storage_Power_Plant
Haha well I feel less concerned now
Pretty cool. What does the planning and construction process look like that enables them to build out so quickly?
Well shoot, I guess it’s time to get a new security key. Am I better off switching to a NitroKey?
Yoga. It’s a great way to start the week off on the right foot by dedicating some time to taking care of myself, and nice slow stretch feels really good
I use Inoreader to read RSS feeds of my favorite sources, and I save interesting articles to Pocket. I use the tagging feature and sync my Pocket entries to an Obsidian vault using an extension. It creates a web of information I found valuable enough to save, connected by tag. It helps me see trends and topics I’m interested in emerge over time
Maybe I’m the one that’s out of the loop, but I’d consider myself fairly informed and on the left, and I only think I’ve heard him speak once or twice. I don’t watch any streams though, so it could just be that I’m not part of that community
