Good luck with this particular episode…
I think I used to be an Aztec Pyramid, but I’m becoming a Mosque, and rapidly heading toward the ruins.
Interesting.
Although I’m sceptical about that working for me specifically: I have a very weak sense of smell and therefore taste, so sweet, salty, umami, etc is probably much more of my tasting experience compared to most people. Without that I think I’d be left with not much at all.
As an example, spicy (‘hot’) in food to me is pure pain. I literally can’t comprehend how there could be any kind of flavor to it that people not only enjoy, but so much that they actively seek it enough to build a tolerance to the capsaicin.
Seriously, that video had a horrible ending, with no advice on how that might be feasible.
And it sounds worse to me than just being overweight and eventually getting diabetes and dying early (like most of my family)
I’m guessing in the first one they were making a barrier for the fire, instead of hitting it directly and letting the edge of it continue to spread if they didn’t get it all?
Any time I see an article about someone doing things with Redstone circuits, I think about that comic.
This was my first exposure to Linux - one of the PCs in high school had it installed. (I had read about Linux before then, but not had a chance to try it)
It had a little foam Tux in the box, and I got to keep it:
Implosive compression.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it was
Agreed - but acting surprised that it can change opinions (for the worse) doesn’t make sense to me, that’s obvious, since anything can. That AI can potentially do so even more effectively than other things is indeed worth talking about as a society (and is again pretty obvious)
A piece of paper dropped on the ground can ‘shape human beliefs’. That’s literally a tool used in warfare.
The news here is that conspiratorial thinking can be relieved at all.
Anything can be used to make people believe them. That’s not new or a challenge.
I’m genuinely surprised that removing such beliefs is feasible at all though.
Their review forgot to mention the incredible number of crossovers supported from other financial titles. In most cases you can directly load cloud saves from all kinds of other releases in the genre from a vast number of publishers. Really helps reduce grinding.
As far as I know FreeTaxUSA can only support saves that you manually replay in their game.
I have an official USB pet rock I got from a thinkgeek back in the day. Has a little box with air holes and everything.
Exactly as functional as the original pet rock, but has a short USB cable attached.
My parents both didn’t swear (at least not where I could hear them) so I simply never picked up the habit. I can swear if I make a conscious effort to do so, but generally only find reason to if I am quoting someone or something. And even that feels awkward to me.
As for expressing myself, I don’t believe I have much trouble in that regard. There are a ton of other words available and ways to arrange them. And if I truly need to express anguish, rage, etc. there is always yelling or screaming.
Primaries are still subject to spoiler effects and such.
In my very blue state this year where the top two in the primary go on to the general, there was a local position which had a whole bunch of well qualified Democrats vs just a couple of Republicans. (Incumbent not running)
The dem vote was split enough that we very nearly had just the two Republicans in the general. Like less than 60 votes away.
Initially I didn’t see it on the package in the image, so before reading the article it looked like a prank product, just an empty case to hold your eSIM.
It’s also already in the comic
Last night when I saw this post I happened to support it at a perfect round number.
To have a chance of being made into a real set, it needs a little under 5 times that number of supporters - specifically this weird composite number 2^4 * 5^4.
