Don’t disagree but surely it’s not impossible to add some regulations to protect the consumers here.
We have always subsidized having kids over those who don’t. And honestly its the best use of our tax dollars. What do you think school is? Also, parents pay taxes before and after they raise children.
That was my issue with old school SymForums. I don’t see that so much on reddit.
ADA lawsuits can fix that.
I’m hoping more people reply to this than one person. The whole thread only lists slay the spire and balatro.
I’m going to stand my ground on the matter of broad generalizations being counter productive and often tribalistic in nature.
But your point is taken.
The problem when you bash millions of people is that your claims against the group becomes untrue very quickly. The Christians in my neck of the woods are generally supportive of women who want to get abortions. Maybe you believe that caveat is automatically implied, but I didn’t catch that from my reading of your comment.
I’m not saying there aren’t too many who oppose abortion on religious grounds, but I think the bigger problem in society right now is people who have generalized opinions about people due to some (usually intrinsic) group they belong to.
And portable cd players were rated by how well the could handle movement, which basically meant many seconds they could hold in memory to prevent skips.
if you’re not a straight, white, male, it’s acknowledging the extra hurdles of discrimination (intentional or not), and the limited access to famialial resources that you might have to overcome for which the straight white male would not
Assuming you know something about someone only due their skin color is pretty fucking racist. That includes assuming a white person has familial resources, or assuming that a non white doesn’t.
It’s odd sitting here having to explain that stereotypes are bad.
Are you implying “anti racist discrimination” is justified by your quote? I agree with your quote, but it is not supportive of Kendi’s quote in the slightest. To discriminate is to “unjustly treat categories of people”, so if someone is acting racist and you don’t tolerate them, that is not discrimination at all because you are judging them for their actions, not their looks.
Weight should absolutely be a factor in registration fees. Between road damage, their environmental cost, and danger they pose it’s a no brainer.
“The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination”
QA could use some unionizing across the software/game industry imo.
It’s amazing how buggy websites of billion dollar companies are. They either don’t have a QA team or don’t prioritize any of the bugs they file. If I were still in that field I’d probably team up with some litigious ADA lawyers.
Harvards cs50 I believe has"the missing lecture" that talks about deployments and other activities surrounding programming.
If you want to learn how to make web apps you want to make sure the course includes deployments. Or get a specific course on the cloud platform you want to learn.
My library offers $7 worth of printing free each week with your Library. I am curious how many households actually still have printers these days.
Sms has been god awful since the beginning, both the standard and the business implementation. Remember bullshit pricing models for texts? 10center per text over your limit. Even today, the standard hasn’t kept up with modern times.
So then it seems completely absurd signal is “not interested” in allowing any integration. They could just notify their users communications with WhatsApp users are unsecure.
Let’s put strip clubs up there too.
I liked it. Unfortunately aside from valve, no serious studio has put any resources into making a good vr game.
Sitting games could be big on vr. Flight/space sims could be awesome.
