  • Lion’s Mane supplement or just straight up Lion’s Mane mushrooms?

How did they end up helping? I hadn’t heard of this use of them before.

I’d like to know a bit more if you don’t mind. I’m sure some others in this post may want to know as well due to the topic.

I’m a bit of an amateur mycologist and grow Lion’s Mane from time to time.

Congrats btw! Don’t discount your own effort by attributing your ass getting saved by Lion’s Mane. You put in work too I’m sure. Hope you also recognize that.

  • During CoVid some friends and I had a virtual movie club called CoVideo Club where we would meet up in VR each week to watch a movie in a virtual movie theater together.

Over the 200 movies we watched we screened all of the Predator movies. I picked the movies and sometimes I wouldn’t tell others beforehand what we were going to be watching during our next session. None of my friends follow upcoming movies so they had no idea about Prey, what it was or when it was coming out. It had been months since we had watched the last Predator movie so when I screened Prey they had no idea it was a Predator movie. It came out the day before we screened it so there wasn’t much talk about it in the media yet.

The slow realization they had that we weren’t watching a western but a sci-fi horror movie set in the Predator universe was fun to sit back and watch play out.

I haven’t seen Prey since but if I remember correctly the first time it dawned on them that this might be a Predator movie was the first time you see the fluorescent yellow glowing blood. They went wild.

  • Yeah bud, I totally would do that.

I think it is common to have deep feelings for non-romantic partners, friends or family that would be strong enough to compel someone to avenge them if they were hurt or killed.

I’m not saying anything is wrong with you, we all experience our emotions and perceive the world around us and the people in it different, but as another poster said, you may want to talk to a therapist. Your post indicates you may have some stuff you can get help with that may expand your empathy towards others. Not an accusation but some friendly advice.

Personally, I had a lot of anger when I was younger that severely limited my empathy towards others. If I could have sorted it out in therapy a couple decades earlier than I did I know my life would have been better earlier. The connections I now have with me family and friends is deeper than I once thought possible.

It was hard to face my past and who I thought I was but once I did let go of all of that baggage I had much more space within myself for others.

  • It’s not lazy to ask someone who seems to know something about the topic within a discussion thread about said topic. You know more than I do on this.

I understand how you may not want to take the time to answer someone’s question but also you could have replied with the link you eventually did instead of saying “Seriously?” Within the context of calling others lazy you could also qualify under the same term since you took the time to respond but not with the answer.

With search being what it is nowadays I wouldn’t know if I am getting a good result to find out the answer since it is of a technical and specific nature I may or may not even know if I am familiar with to begin with. It could take me much longer to figure it out, or I will give up and not be interested in finding out more about a field you seem to have an interest and knowledge about and I am demonstrating I want to know more about.

I think it is fair to ask for more information from someone who shows more expertise in the topic before searching.

  • Yes, I know this, though a lot of businesses don’t actually do that.

That’s not my point though, limiting your competition by raising expenses to a higher level for smaller businesses would help McDonalds. There isn’t much hope for him to get the minimum wage lowered to make it “fair”, what CEO of such a public company would want to make that stand. By pointing out the unfairness would be to make it more expensive for his competition that don’t have to play by the same rules would help McDonald’s by hurting the local Mom and Pop or smaller restaurant chains. by hurting his competition. He gets to appear to take the high road by pointing out others should be held to the same higher standards and do the right thing. McDonald’s is already making it work at the higher wage because of how big they are, but their competition for food options probably won’t be able to do the same.

This is similar to how WalMart, Home Depot and etc expanded back in the day. Pay more, lower operating costs per sqft of retail space and less expensive prices than the mom and pops. This runs the smaller competition out of business because they can’t keep up and now WalMart/Home Depot or whatever has a much bigger piece of the local market as there are few options for consumers to spend their money with.

Mcdonald’s has gotten much more expensive in the last several years while also losing customers but he can’t lower expenses so he is trying to raise the operating costs for everyone else since he knows McDonald’s can survive for longer at the higher expense then almost anyone else.
