See I agree whole heartedly with one of these and though it might be a fun little mystery I’ll just state it up front. It’s the Monty Python one.

Perhaps you just need to learn to use the knife properly. Knives also need a steel which should be used regularly. Blunting a knife on a crust shouldn’t be a thing if you keep your blade sharp. That’s the point.

Not properly. But a chef’s knife can.

And a filet knife does better with fish. And a boning plus a slicing knife does much better with meat. Not my point but that’s ok.

I was a professional cook (up to sous chef) in fine dining for a decade. Guess I’m just an amateur yet.

Sharpen your knife. If it’s not able to cut bread or tomatoes without smooshing it needs sharpening.

There are but two necessary knives. A chef’s knife and a paring knife. Sharpened appropriately. Usually not even a paring knife but sometimes the small size is beneficial.

As a Canadian, it’s the one place I can go to Canadian communities and not be completely buried by fucking hockey. Even this whole elbows up thing is fucking terrible. I get why. I understand that people have been indoctrinated to this and it’s part of their identity here. I don’t understand why it has to be absolutley everywhere though.

Damn man. I haven’t heard that game title in a while. I’m 50 and this was one of the first games dad got when he bought a new computer back before that was a thing. He thought we’d never be able to figure out the game. It was on six floppys and pirated. Hahahaha

Yea that’s right. Fuck nature. It keeps me alive but it also wakes me up.

My eldest daughter and I did this as well. It gave us a super tight bond. I had major medical problems when my other kids were young and they didn’t get the same attention. It’s obvious and I have had to work extra hard to build similar bonds with them.
