i reckon it’s maybe an attempt at a new name for projectile vomiting? i know last time i got stomach flu was the only time i can remember making involuntary sounds while vomiting.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•[Gamers Nexus] Valve Steam Controller Review | Latency Benchmarks, Battery Life, Repairability
34·1 month agostraightup if you don’t immediately recognize the touchpads as game-changing, then this is NOT the controller for you.
just be content with knowing that scores of people saw the $100 price tag and said “oh that’s actually fine.” and moreover that offering a dissenting opinion to folks who like it is akin to saying “i get this Mona Lisa is popular, i just don’t think anyone should pay that much for a painting!”
it’s got a unique stank threat no other controller replicates. also valve hardware is pretty faultless up to this point.

they’d be mad about the lack of shielding, which COULD result in noise from interference. it won’t, but audiophiles love ignoring real-world measurements in favor of theoretical ones.

3·4 months agoyeah it’ll probably be easier to stylize a comparatively modern engine than it would be to deliver a modern feel with an old one.
thanks for the advice! ^^

1·4 months agolate reply but, i bought a deck on launch! stuff has gotten a lot easier, but you still need tweaks to get full performance.
at the very least you need to know how to use launch options and navigate protondb, which i have specifically been told is a bridge too far for some folks.
i think within the decade it may very well be truely plug and play. valve is doing some serious heavy lifting for gaming on linux.

Games@sh.itjust.works•Steam adds official support for game version-specific Workshop modsEnglish
9·5 months agoYOOOOOO this is pretty sick actually!
lotta games end up with a non-current version becoming popular because of mod compatibility. in the absense of such support on steam, A LOT of workshop content gets straight abandoned after a game updates.

i reserved about an hour after they opened and haven’t heard anything yet, very psyched they’re shipping already though
