      On ya chudsy!

      I need to be writing up my assessments because on Monday we’re moving onto the next unit, but the due date isn’t until the end of the month so it’s feeling difficult to get started

      I’ve done half of one, haven’t started the other 2. Apparently we didn’t have enough time to do the first of the roleplays, so the trainer said to just submit it with a blank file and she’ll mark us competent based on how we interacted in the class

        I just want to get it all submitted and passed before Thursday next week, so I don’t have to go to class until next semester lol. If I can get all the assessments done and submitted before the due date, then I have more time to amend any feedback/mistakes, and way more time to chill.

        Get onto it now dude, so you don’t have to worry later; 4 weeks goes by really quickly when you’re at school.

        Maybe a little. Apparently in the states, Amazon has cold bags and delivers ice cream and such as well. That’d be kinds cool. I reckon these would likely be delivered though one of those on demand uber courier thingies. Doubt they’re using a reputable company to deliver knockoff steaks

      Baku unfortunately here (self inflicted)

      I suspect if I put the phone down and a relaxing YouTube video on, I could sleep quite easily, especially after already taking 5mg of melatonin, but with every passing minute I’m getting more and more concerned about the lack of sleepy time before I can wake up, setting me up in a lovely little vicious circle. Also, out of nowhere I feel like I’m on the verge of tears even though I had a solid day

      And it feels really stuffy in my room, the temperature sensor reckons it’s only 55% humidity, but it feels closer to 80 or 90. Honestly considering turning the splitty on and sleeping on the couch

      Try local creek beds. Merri Creek has a good few in the shallows all along its length. The creek bed below Rushall Station has a gully leading up towards the station and could be a good source. Also the creek below Ceres. Also railway lines - the Mernda line north of Croxton has lots of rocks lying around the siding. They’re blue metal - like the sleepers are bedded into. Dunno if such would be pet friendly.
      Please don’t go out to the rock fences in the north - these are valuable reptile habitat and the local herpetologists will burn you in effigy if you nick any rocks from those fences.

    I have signed up to do a physical activity study. I don’t know whether I’m hoping to be in the activity group where I have to use a fitness tracker and app for 6 months or the control group, where I get to make no changes but feel no guilt because it is “for science” and not laziness 🤣

    It did inspire me to work out how to fix my scales that somehow got changed to pounds instead of kg. Now I just need to work out how to fix the thermometer that changed to Farenheit when I replaced the battery and I’ll have pulled my bathroom out of the weird American vortex it got sucked into.

    King Island Dairy is closing next year. No more amazing triple cream brie and smoked cheddar. And 60 people losing jobs in a small community. Devastating.

      So sad. Love their brie. I guess I’ll just have to over indulge while it’s still available. It seems like it should be a profitable business? Surely there’s a cheese loving millionaire that wants to buy it? Don’t they want to save their cheese platters? Do it for the good of the nation!

      I bought the brie and cream on very special occasions. Saputo, a Canadian based multinational company which expanded via mergers and acquisitions, can’t find a buyer.

    I’ve decided to go another course of antibiotics while we sort the cat specialist, so I get to wrestle Melbcat and feed her gross banana flavoured liquid for another 10 days! 🍌 Some keeps ending up on her fur so I think I will be buying a bib.

    The specialist I saw seemed ok, not sure if he’ll be able to help but was at least respectful and willing to listen.

    The lightly scented home brand soap I bought is a bit drying on my hands but otherwise hasn’t caused immediate issues? That’s not to say it won’t. But if it works out I have a backup soap for any supply shortages of the unscented bars.

    If it doesn’t I guess it gets donated to the food pantry minus that bar or turned into laundry soap.

        I don’t know the logic… there are fish and chicken flavours but perhaps some animals like banana??

        Edit: apparently a lot of animal meds were made for humans and given in different doses

      Ugh, poor Melbcat! I think banana flavoured liquid deserves a special place in hell 😝 I’ve turned hand/face soap into laundry soap with positive results. I bought some Dove soap a while back but wasn’t happy with it (ain’t what it used to be) but found it to be excellent for my towels. Made them softer than my face lol.
