Okay I’ve definitely had way too much caffiene and too much work time because my eyes feel very googly and I got that wired/tired thing going on. Someone make me dinner and take out the rubbish and put away the clothes and pack my bags for me please…

…wait, that someone has to be me? Bummer. 😮‍💨 Gotta remind myself of my trip, true rest and recuperation is around the corner…

I think last time I made waffles I must have done a half batch. This time I did a full batch and I now have 16 waffles in the freezer for future consumption, along with a couple in my tummy.

I also stewed up my remaining apples and pears with some spice & brown sugar, a couple of serves are in the freezer, one was eaten on the waffles and one is waiting to be topped with yoghurt for a future snack. I’m starting to run out of room in the freezer!

I have spilt coffee on myself twice today, which is twice too many. First I was walking along a footpath/bikepath and stepped on my partners heel accidentally, and he stopped to fix it and I just walked into the back of him and spilt coffee down my front. Glad I had a raincoat on lol.

Second was just now, and just out of pure unco-ness I just slopped some of my coffee onto my oodie.

Put a fork in me, I’m done 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Does anyone here have any knowledge on share dividends and what it means to have it fully franked?

I still sort of don’t understand it.

Does the franking amount get added to a dividend payout?

It’s a bit like when your employer pays part of your pay to the ATO in anticipation of future tax. If the company distributes money they have already paid tax on you will have a dividend that is paid directly to you, plus an amount that has been paid in tax. Fully franked means the company has paid tax on the whole lot, partially franked means they only paid tax on a part of it. When you come to do your tax return the ATO will work out how much you actually owe (based on the tax rate for your income) and either ask for a bit more tax or refund the extra.

        Let’s say I have a dividend payout of 20cent and it’s 100% franked.

If it’s fully franked do I only get 20cents? or more than 20c?

          You get (20c / (1-0.3)) -20c = A franking credit of about 8.5c

so you’re ending up getting 20c + 8.5c or 28.5c. It’s to avoid double taxation.

Had a dream that UFC was on at the MCG and I had lounge tickets, so I went and took my cat. Just carried him around with me and he was entranced because there was a parade of women wearing huge, sparkly ballgowns. The food in the lounge sucked and tbh it kind of resembled some old rich person’s house with pale pink carpets and curtains. Pretty sure I went ringside and watched a fight, but the cat wasn’t enjoyed it, so we went back up to the lounge. Cat and I went home where I found out that Lizzo was going to be playing at the AFL Grand Final alongside Katy Perry.

Better than dreaming about needing to prove myself at work, I guess!

The thieves used a crane!!! Seems very organised. You don’t just steal a very heavy very famous sculpture to put in your own front yard.

There has to be somewhere they take it to cut it into smaller anonymous pieces.

Lots of these - with big machines to chop metal things up into smaller bits. Until recently there was one in Weston St in Brunswick - just near Barkly Square and next door to the Comanchero Bikie Gang headquarters. Not a coincidence I think.

Ive been playing (reading?) this compilation of interactive stories. Not quite a choose your own adventure, but you make choices for the main character (it reminds me of a dungeon master narrating a DnD game and you choose what spells or how to approach a situation). It’s very compelling, I’ve finished the Wizard’s stories.

However, this shows me that amateur male writers generally do not know, or care to know, how to write a good female character. I loved the cleric woman whom the main character teams with, but no, she would not wait in a room for days/weeks while I’m cavorting in The Abyss/Hell. She is a cleric who has been in combat and has bashed goblin heads and smote nasty evil. She would not wait in that room on the off chance I would return. Ffs.

It appears most of the series’ in this collection are from a male point of view, and while I don’t mind the 80s/90s-esque style of writing (calling women pretty things, etc) as it fits the silliness of medieval fantasy heavily inspired by DnD, I do mind when women character are just treated as props.
