Happy weekend!
Not a new release, but I’ve sank my teeth firmly into Super Meat Boy since I’m trying to work through my backlog on Steam. Bought it years ago and after playing the first world, I ended up dropping it since I was bad and it was too hard. Now I’m playing through it again since with my Deck I can grind out levels on my work break. It makes a really good, satisfying pick up and play title for me. The tough as nails, die 100 times til you get it right style has finally clicked with me and it’s awesome.
That is one of my favs! Seeing all your bad runs at the end of a level makes the frustration kinda fun, and having zero time between death and restarting rules. Glad you’re enjoying it this time around!
Currently working on Chernobylite. I am also working on Cyberpunk but that seems like it might be long and I worry I won’t have the time to enjoy finishing it. I played AC Valhalla before this and I was ready to be done 20 hours before the ending.
It really depends on how much of the side-story stuff you do. For me, that was the much more enjoyable aspect of the game so I only progressed the main story as it blocked missions for side-characters I was invested in.
I’ve started playing Monster Train, as my mate recommended it to me as being like Slay the Spire, which I loved. It’s not really grabbed me yet, although there are some nice features and mechanics.
Other than that, I played a couple of rounds of DMZ for the first time in months, and I feel I could get back into it if I can get my friends to revisit it too.
I never got deep into StS, so it’s possible I don’t get what a good run looks like, but I’ve always felt like StS is about eking out a win by the skin of your teeth and careful choices - MT, by contrast, is more all or nothing. You’ll either wipe before you make it to the final boss or you’ll breeze through it without breaking a sweat.
MT is about building the most broken combos you can - it doesn’t always work out that way, but there’s nothing sweeter than taking down the final boss 3 turns early.
I highly recommend the expansion: the shards mechanic adds a really great push-your-luck mechanic. Originally I was wary of taking more than 10 or 20 shards over a run, because it makes each fight harder, some in some particularly frustrating ways, but a good infusion or the right upgrades on a card can make a failing run into a winner.
My daughter randomly decided to play Uncharted 4. We’d never seen the games before. Wow it’s been a blast! Frequently adds new mechanics, pretty fluid, the cut scenes are great, the fast action moments are intense!
Will we love the other ones, or is 4 unique?

I’ve been loving BattleBit. Such a fun time.
Far, far too much Legion TD2 on PC.
Far Cry 6! I’m really enjoying it so far, probably it has to do with my clear expectations from the game. I haven’t found any towers to clear this time around and even outposts are quite sparsely placed.
Right now I’m playing through Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak endgame, and soon will be playing some more Mega Man Battle Network Collection / Etrian Odyssey
Rage playing Pokémon Violet. I’ve put it off due to release bugs. This game is terrible.
But that livingdex…
Revisiting Heavy Bullets. Some people gave it slack for being “game jam game tier” but I think it’s polished enough. More importantly, I’m finding it very fun at the moment.
been addicted to hogwarts legacy recently. my mom has also been playing it for hours when im at work
Me and my wife have been taking turns playing right now. I’m determined to 100% it! Such a fun game!!!
me too but some of these puzzles just puzzle me. no clue how they work lol
Any examples you can give? Maybe I can help :p
i may need to progress through the story farther, i just unlocked talents last night. but my biggest trouble is dadaelin keys. no clue how those go in. im assuming its to do with a spell i dont know yet
You mean once you get the flying key to the cabinet? When you interact with it at the cabinet it will show it flying around . Eventually it will cross the keyhole and you “smack” it into the keyhole. It tells you at the bottom of the screen what button to hit. (PS it’s X)
no way thats what it is haha, i never even got close with any of my slaps
Ya you really have to anticipate when it crosses the keyhole. Or you can just turn the difficulty to easy, it gets a lot easier.
Been going absolutely Unga bunga mode in Street Fighter 6. Just a way more playable, intuitive game than the previous entry was.
Also playing We Love Katamari Rerolled. Gonna pick up Pikmin 4 on release most likely.
Just started valheim which is sick so far, been playing 7dtd off and on, totk, and reversi on playstrategy.
Taking a break from action capcom games to playing ace attorney.
