The fluffy boi has been having testing on his kidneys, and the vet’s incidentally found a serious heart condition. Poor little chicken. More expensive tests that I can’t really afford to follow.

Another day, another job interview. Two this week, one that felt okay and one that felt pretty good - fingers crossed I get to the next stage with at least one of them!

Edit: second interview for one lined up for next week, yaaaay.

Losing the fight against some stupid broadleaf in the front yard lawn. MIL reckons I need to weed and feed it but a weekend 7 days after a mow but 7 days before the next mow with no rain is a bit much to ask for at the moment.

When I moved in the back yard was a dump. but what little kikuyu was there went nuts and within 2 years with basically no effort the kikuyu won and it now looks fantastic. Thinking I should just start transplant runners in the front yard and let it do its thing. Might take a few years but if it ends up half as good as the back yard I wont be complaining.

I’m amazed that people know the difference between grasses. Me - grass bad. Going back inside 🤧 Even fake grass wants to kill me.

I use chemical warfare., broadleaf herbicide and it works well, but I’m not a gardening enthusiast so my word probably doesn’t mean much round here

My old man has been using Dicamba M recently which is a selective herbicide and it seems to be working so far. Not a fan of the shit but it’s not harming the kikuyu (unlike glyphosate).

I’ve just been going around with a mattock removing it by hand and filling the holes with soil and some lawn food. Only problem this way is the green bin becomes super heavy very quickly.

When will people learn. If your rubbish bin is overflowing, the birds will come with their mates and scatter your shit all over your nature strip and if it ends up on mine I will go out there and relocate it back onto yours with a huff so use your limp wristed hands and push that shit down so the lid sits flush. Ah godammit, my food was delivered to the wrong address, the driver didn’t supply a photo like they usually do so I couldn’t go hunting for my food and didn’t answer the phone when I rang. 1 star review for you, the first time I’ve ever done that. Replacement order on the way but for crying out loud!

They immediately replaced the order and a guy drove it from there to here like he had Satan at his heels lol. The food was delicious, the chicken super crispy and tender on the inside and the sauces were beautiful 🤩

Tradie next door building houses having what sounds like a meltdown and is shouting loudly. Very good atmosphere for my sister who is WFH and on the phones, and me trying to scramble to finish assignments.

The Gisele Pelicot case really makes my blood boil. All these gutless, horrible men who really do think women are chattel and that their consent means less than a man’s entitlement to pleasure.

they would treat other men badly too except they only abuse those who are physically weaker than they are

also, how come Giselle’s doctor didn’t look after her? That puzzles me so much.

I read this when it came out. Her husband, I have no words. No consent, the STDs… I am also in awe of her courage. I don’t think I’d be able to even leave a room let alone have contact with people ever again.

What a fucking pig of a husband. I don’t even know what to say. That poor woman, and her courage

Edit: She obviously wasn’t moved to another location but would this count as something similar to human trafficking?

If those complete and utter POSs thought they were taking part in a sex game, then maybe the game wasn’t sex so much as domination, and the whole point was the absence of the power to choose. Which to me indicates a very frail and fragile sense of their own masculinity. The husband should be executed imo. Preferably by lethal injection.

I just read up on it because I was unfamiliar with the case. Good lord what a poor brave broken woman. The husband admitting guilt is of little comfort. What a hideous POS.

theres a real “back and forth” feeling lately. was standing in the shower earlier and sort of realized I feel like im taking the hit of each wave rather than riding them atm. Feel like a lot of us are doing that after covid.

If anyone would like a pretty chill career change, get familiar with the CMS Drupal and hit up recruitment agencies to become a ‘Digital Content Specialist’.

    https://www.drupal.org/home

It’s free and open source. You could buy some web hosting and install it through cPanel, then do enough Youtube courses to put it on your resume. All Victorian Government websites are on Drupal, and so are some Federal ones. You might be able to get a plush gig copying and pasting content from word docs to websites.

That’s so good of you to post that.

Used to work with Joomla, but that was aeons ago.

Wouldn’t mind switching back to a plush gig. (Have a bit of a jack of all background that always is hard to put on paper, but easier to chat about. Might be a bit too out of the loop these days.)

That’s where a decent recruiter can be really helpful. You talk to them and put your background in context and then they can advocate for you.

I’ve been placed by the recruiter that got me my upcoming role a couple of times. I had a 15 minute teams call with the client and they decided to pick me off that
