I have covered up the citrus trees and sage against the predicted frost overnight. They are already struggling a bit after a few lighter frosts this year, hopefully this will keep them going. I gave them an encouraging pep talk to try to keep their spirits up until spring gets here too. I’m not sure they believed me.

Its’ been a weird ass day at work. Nuffin happening. I’ve even caught up on the filing and shredding. Next week could be brutal or could be a wasteland - atm we are just waiting to see. Might go home early.

The entire accounting profession is holding its breath for the implementation of the Anti Money Laundering (AML) rules that kick in on Saturday. If your accountant hasn’t contacted you about this, they probably will soon. Cos they have to verify your identity on a regular basis before they can do anything more than process your tax return. And we have to verify their identity before we can do anything for them too. The double handling of simple processes is going to be the true debacle imo. We’ve automated as much as we can as permitted by the legislation, but there’s a limit to what we can do in that respect.

Like a ninja in the night, my daughter came and grabbed some sojus from the garage. We did not hear a thing.

It’s perfect weather for working outside. Cold enough you don’t overheat doing heavy work, but not so cold you freeze. Even a bit of sun if you catch it at the right time. I’ve swept some paths, done a bit of weeding and a bit of cutting back. It should be the same type of weather all weekend too, so I might be able to do a bit of mulching and another trim of the grass as well before the weather turns.
