Been applying for a few jobs recently and actually getting calls (interviews lined up for next week). One in particular is fairly senior and not related to what I’ve done (can argue that my experience is transferable) and the manager I spoke to is very keen to interview me.

Might have to do some sleuthing to find out more about the team and culture in the place.

I just put my shower curtain liner in the washing machine, and it made me wonder how many people actually have shower curtains and not glass panels these days. I suspect it is an ever-dwindling number.

I tend to see them as part of shower-over-bath arrangements, which I have. My MIL had her bathroom done out like a hospital bathroom (ie the floor of the bathroom is also the shower floor, so you walk straight in without stepping over anything) and she has a curtain too.

I’ve made a new post named Tucker Time on !foodaustralia@aussie.zone replacing What’s for dinner? That way you can post about your breakfast, lunch, dinner etc.

It would be great if you could contribute unless of course if you live on air. Thank you.

PSA: I’ve lost some photos. Partly my fault, partly computers dying. Anyway right now I had 3 or 4 repositories or backups, most duplicated, but I only discovered recently that at some point something corrupted and I lost some priceless photos. Spent 3 weeks digging through old storage to find a backup and luckily, I found a VERY old SD card that contains them. Its a miracle that it survived this long. I nearly cried tears of joy. Anyway, if you don’t have a good backup solution? Go make one. Right bloody now!

I’m also open to suggestions for management/organization of photos. Right now im across iCloud for recent stuff, Dropbox for last gen stuff, and then google drive for older than that stuff. And its just chaos!

Print them out and put them in an album. Use the best paper, ink, glue and album you can find. The pictures should last quite a few decades, if not more.

We’ve just done that in the form of a calendar for the grandparents, but we’re talking a need for more long term cold storage.

        This is a great idea.

Every year my wife and I pick out our fave photos of the year across both of our phones (because that’s where they all get taken these days!), and when Snapfish do their big yearly sale at the start of Jan we get a hardcover photo book made up.

It helps to have a folder that we just dump photos we particularly like into as the year goes on, makes things quick come book compiling time.

Just this weekend gone our niece was staying with us, and she loved going through our little collection of photo books on the shelf, and I admit I enjoyed it too! I love the experience of browsing a book or album of printed photos.

best thing is if those develop a leak you can just weldbond seal it. Although the rosettes can be a bugger to clean at times.

I never thought that it might not be functional. In that case I could fill it with fake flowers and use it as an ornament.

I am caretaker free today, so I am donning a mask and gloves and taking care of myself. I am very curious to see how I go considering I’m going to attempt quite a few chores today.

My mouth and throat feel good today so I might have a go at some scrambled egg or something as well, exciting times!

Wow, I slept terribly. To be expected. Don’t usually sleep well out of my own place, but this one takes the cake.

I had a dream that I was back home (home wasn’t quite home), but I realise I have no recollection of packing up my site and I’m trying to get back. I’m panicking in my dream because it feels so real that I really have no recollection whatsoever.

I finally make it back and I think I’m at my site and I realise I’m at the wrong site and I go to walk a little further and then I wake up in my tent.

There was a ton more details like Tim Roth and couple of people I used to know in my dream, but that one point in my dream where I thought it was real or questioning reality, freaks me out.

That’s the first time that’s ever happened.

Hmm, maybe we really are in the Matrix…

Cats are weird and full of surprises. I got a pot plant off the footpath, a bromeliad in flower, it has nice pink and purple spikes. Ted Cat loves it!! He’s playing with leaves, hiding under and behind it, sniffing it all over. He’s very cute. 😺 He is now half asleep on the sofa pooped out.
