  • yea im in the sweet spot too lol, 30 and still regularly discovering new music i like. i hope we both maintain this positivity as we age, i think it’s a much nicer way to wade through life. even if i reach a point where i stop liking new music, i hope i can still see the value in it for others, i never want to be that old grump

it’s one thing to not like new music, i think that’s normal, people discover the music they like fairly early on and usually get kinda stuck in it. but all the people saying new music is objectively garbage and people just have garbage taste now? yea they got that boomer mentality where the stuff they like from their youth is the golden age, everything else is inferior, and their opinions are facts

  • While i do think people are exaggerating that google is useless, and the kagi push on lemmy is suspiciously strong, I do still hate what google has become. It lies to me almost every time I ask it what movie an actor has been in.

google claims Alan Tudyk is in Andor when he isn’t. There are one or two articles of people suggesting that he might end up in Andor, but nothing official. Google pulls from the rumors and says “yep, he’s clearly in Andor”. The way i search this is by typing just an actors name then clicking the “movies and tv” option.

    google search

    imdb for andor

    imdb for alan tudyk

I refuse to pay for a search engine. DDG is alright, not great, but at least it doesnt lie to me.

  • If you want no dust then some kind of pellet litter would be best, like corn or pine pellets. My cats hate that texture though, so we had to find one with a similar texture to clay litter. I worked at a pet supply/food store for a couple years and tried a bunch of litters, nothing with a granular texture is truly dust-free, and I found clay litter claims of being “low dust” to be complete bullshit. I settled on Sustainably Yours Large Grain litter, it’s corn based. The large grain really reduces the dust, I get a little bit when emptying the bag but the large grain doesn’t throw dust when they dig around in it. It also clumps pretty well.
