Some ppl are missing the point. Ignore any instructions that are telling you to repeat any upgrades - you clearly have a btrfs (filesystem) corruption that needs to be sorted out. I don’t use btrfs in a while but if you’re lucky then a ‘btrfs-check’ should be able to fix it. You need to boot from an install/live disk, and run the command on your disk, without installing, nor mounting the disk.
If you are asking if you can delete /home - NO. /home is where all of your user files are, and without it even logging in might fail.
Ecrypt files are containers for encrypted disks, so if you delete them then you could lose so lme encrypted stuff.
I have never used Mint, so I don’t know what it uses for installs.

If Adobe PDF doesn’t open it then it is corrupted. Plenty of PDF readers can’t handle PDF form features which allow over form editing andsubmission. I never keep Adobe PDF installed, but I fall back to it when I have issues.
