Today is the first day in over 3 weeks I’ve had any time to myself. Not even 10 minutes to myself. I don’t regard a walk in a crowded park as having time to myself.

    I’m fucking exhausted and emotional.

Loud sounds of something like a chainsaw here in the inner NE, very late at night, going on for quite a while… I’m going to guess SES it’s dealing with a large tree in imminent danger of failing. Who the fuck else would do it past midnight.

Isn’t it funny that over the break I slept fantastically. Solid every night, just about never needing to get up for the toilet, etc, but back to work and I’m awake at 4am musing over the stupidest things – not even always work related! Very frustrating.

You slept?! Lucky. I went to bed at 11, think I fell asleep like 3am? feel like death warmed up.

So frustrating! Especially when the kitty realises you’re restless, so he comes in for love and cuddles (but really wants you to get up feed him), but you try to remove him from the bed and end up with kitty claw embedded in your thigh, which causes you to shout out and wake up the dog who then decides he needs to go out to pee and then do his senior stompy zoomies around the house…

Thought I’d give the housemate a break from making my meals since I still can’t touch any shared spaces, so I ordered some lunch with enough leftovers for tea and jesus fkn christ it’s highway robbery out there.

I’ve been awake since like 2:30am and can’t get back to sleep… but the plus side of that is that I got to see the underside of the Sydney Harbour Bridge about 25 minutes ago. Pretty keen to get off the ship and on the road apparently. I’m glad I went to bed relatively early!

Still won’t be able to disembark for 2 hours due to the customs staff not being at the terminal until 6:30am… which is ok because the car hire place doesn’t open until 7:30am.

    Hurry up, time!

Was the 4th off the ship and I booked my Uber from the gangway like a boss so my car was ready for me as soon as I walked out. Beat the surge pricing hell yeeeeahhh!

Although I am at the rental car place 35 minutes before they open.

Have a safe drive back mate, don’t push it too hard on low sleep - there’s still some rain hanging around Goulburn heading east, hopefully it clears up by the time you hit the frog and toad.

Nonsense drama on my street today. Tomorrow is bin day, some residents have rolled out their green waste bin, whilst others (myself included as it’s the correct one) rolled out the recycling bin.

One neighbour asked me how I knew (checked the council website to verify) and quickly corrected his mistake.

The neighbour that had a blue with his missus rolled out his green one and gave me a very patronizing smirk.

When my bin gets emptied I’m going to wait until he’s outside to roll mine in. Debating whether to blow him a kiss or just wave enthusiastically.

I wondering what the person who asked how you knew thinks the system is. I am imaging them asking with bewilderment, how do you know which bin it is?!? Maybe they think it’s random each week and you are a magician who can see the future.

However they spin it, It’s a money saving thing. Cleaners are cheaper if they aren’t dealing with desk bins.

My favourite dress seems to have been discontinued. I must have worn to bits at least twenty of these over the years, it’s damn near my uniform. Now the horrors of finding something new and dressing room mirrors 😾

I don’t wanna go to work today. ☹️ Is anyone able to go in and impersonate me for a day instead? Can pay in zucchini.

I was still following the previous zucchini negotiators and thought this was advising hiring zucchini body doubles, or possibly human body doubles and training them in the ways of zucchini

Perhaps I could train the zucchinis to be body doubles for cucumbers? I have many zucchinis but the cucumbers failed to grow entirely, so this could solve my problem.

That could work, but have you thought about long, but thin capsicums as an alternative? They cross breed easily and it should only take you about 20 years to get the alternative to market. You can possibly reduce that time with a good hydroponics set up so that you can do a year in 4-6 months.

Train them? That would take way too long, I was hoping for someone really good at bluffing and bullshit. The type that have absolutely no idea how to do their job but somehow seem to get through the day without anyone noticing.

That is a lot of zucchinis. I might need to pay in installments. Would you accept a payment plan of 5 zucchinis a week over the summer period for the next 283 years?

As you did not attend at 6am this morning as required under the terms of the contract I have instead instead gone to work and impersonated myself.

Did you mess up the location too? I would have expected Australia to mostly smell of eucalyptus and smoke at that timeframe.

In any case I will provide 1 zucchini in appreciation for your efforts 🥒 (I have been training them to impersonate cucumbers, hope that’s ok)
