Guy I worked with back in the day drove one of those pavement princess oversized trucks. He comes into work one day, there is no assigned parking in the lot, and someone is parked in “his” spot. So he decides the best course of action is wait there for the person to move their car while calling them and their boss demanding the spot. Sits there for a good fifteen minutes. Plenty of other spots. Guy just needed to be right.
He also was a HR nightmare, constantly bragging about sexual conquests from twenty years ago. Going into very intimate details about it. Just radiating that he hasn’t gotten any in a decade.

I know that Cybertruck rusting is a fun narrative but it’s also not true.
Rust does indeed form on the surface of the body panels but it’s not the panels that are rusting. It’s the iron particles mostly from brake discs that are suspended in the air and land on the vehicle. These particles then react with the stainless steel causing rust to form. However this is just surface contamination which can be easily cleaned off. These same particles, called “fallout” get stuck to the paintjob of all cars and that’s why there are cleaning products specifically meant for getting rid of them. With other vehicles the rusting simply doesn’t occur due to the particles not making contact with metal because they have paint and clearcoat on them.
I have seen 304 stainless rust and rust so badly it gave out. There is a reason why anything that can rust near the ocean (where the bulk of the US population does live) has to be painted.
Yeah I’m not claiming that stainless steel can’t corrode. It can. This is usually due to galvanic series where two different kinds of metals are in contact and the less noble one starts to corrode. Kind of like iron particles on stainless steel. You can leave the car in the rain and it wont rust. This only occurs when there’s surface contaminates that react with the stainless steel panels.
I have seen with my own eyes control panels made of 304 corrode without touching a different metal.

It’s surface rust is you clean it off immediately. Those rust particles will cause the stainless itself to rust if left in the surface.

Imho there are two angles to this question:
- First, queer folks are more likely to be kinky. Since they had to figure out what clicks for them at least once, they tend to do it on multiple aspects of their identities.
- Secondly - and this one is more of a personal standpoint - I’d argue that kinks fall under the wider umbrella of queerness or GRSM (Gender Relational and Sexual Minorities which I find way better than an enumeration acronym).
I’d also advocate for including neurodivergences under the queer brand too for instance.
Also don’t forget the historic aspect – when queerness was viewed as sexually deviant and perverted, it was the kink community that stood by us. Just because we’ve evolved to be socially acceptable doesn’t mean we should leave everyone else behind

These would be well-known examples representing a subset of what I would consider to be “problematic” sex clubs.
I would not want to be a part of a pride celebration where clubs like those have representation.
Pride is about throwing bricks at cops and celebrating our suppressed diversity, not the kinds of sex clubs that politicians go to. Pride is about tearing down hierarchies and problematic power dynamics, not fetishizing them. Or, at least, that’s my understanding of pride having never been to any sort of pride event. I know the history with stonewall and all of that, and that’s my picture of pride and what it should be.
The kinds of sex clubs that politicians go to are the only kinds of sex clubs of which I am aware, so I’m skeptical of sex clubs being represented at pride.
I don’t know why it sticks in my head but I read an article many years ago written by a straight cis woman who kept on showing up to a gay male leather BDSM club and chatting up a storm. One night one of the guys there tells her off causing her to write an article about how they were anti-woman to her. And from there she derived a general principle that male homosexuals hated women.
It’s like dude, there is nothing for you there, it’s their space not your space, if you showed up to my D&D table each week commenting and not playing I might do the same eventually. Also you know it is BDSM you should expect people into that to not exactly be super polite at all times. It’s quite literally a kink around inflicting consensual pain on each other, not exactly a grandma’s quilting circle.

FetLife is a relatively respected kink social media platform. It’s not about hooking up (though that certainly happens, just like on any online platform - hell, I knew people that later married that met in EQ). From my limited experience there, it’s mostly about making everyone feel less ostracized. Of course, they have to have very explicit rules about consent, or that turns into a predator’s playground - but again, that’s true of any social media platform.

It really depends on where you are and what sort of Pride event it is. If it’s a Pride march with lots of corporate sponsors, then you’ll see very little kink, maybe someone in full rubber, but probably no jockstraps. If it’s a ticketed gay village party, or a circuit party, you’ll definitely see some more risque kink gear being worn. If you’re at Folsom or in Berlin, there’s whole parades dedicated to kink, but even the straight public know about that, so if they don’t like it, they can avoid the area during those events.
And how do you feel about the marches or rather individuals in these marches that go to far? To be clear I’m not talking about the people who wear rubber suits.
Where is the widespread problem of kink in the streets? I’ve never heard of a huge kink problem at pride events other than pearl clutching mothers who object to queer people in public in general.
I wouldn’t classify the behavior of these specific individuals as “kink”… , I wouldn’t even classify them as necessarily apart of LGBTQ+ either. I’m not saying it’s common either, I’m mearly ask how you feel about them. I’m referring to the specific cases of individuals who take the opportunity to put on displays of public nudity & indecent exposure outside the bonds of the law. Nope, that can easily be exempt as a form of artistic expression and doesn’t fit into the type of actions I’m referring to. If you’ve seen the images it’s very clearly artistic expression no different from the body paint artists that are also in Seattle.

Nudity at Pride is rare, can happen, but it’s not exclusive to Pride. And also something that I think attitudes should change on. Nudity is not something that people should fear, nor should they be shamed if they are happy being nude.
This is my personal opinion and it might not reflect the wider community’s. I’m not even giving a straight answer, just some points to think about ^^
First and foremost Pride isn’t a singular event. Some are more celebratory and family friendly. But imho it’s original purpose is a protest and protests aren’t subject to the same rules as other places and times. e.g. you don’t tend to shout in the street everyday.
Secondly this rule as an absolute doesn’t make a lot of sense. Even without critiquing the wider society’s rules a choker isn’t the same as a full puppy outfit. (and tbf I don’t see the issue with pups, it’s just dress up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

I’ve noticed, on ones I’ve seen in person and online, the paint job makes a huge, huge difference. Black ones look pretty good. Someone has a dark red one by me that’s just less bad.

FWIW the cyber truck is a luxury option - if you can choose a cyber truck, you can a bunch of other, more reasonable options. That’s not true of cheap food and many other things.

What? It’s rated to tow 11,000 lbs. An f150 tows 7,400-10,800 in comparison. It’s a stupid vehicle for many reasons but tow capacity is not one of them.

The people who spend too much researching before purchasing all know the feeling of endlessly finding products that intrigue them, only to find a handful of glaring flaws.
I am frequently disappointed.
Worst is when the disappointing stuff are things you don’t think of until you use it. Like my convection toaster oven is the best oven I’ve ever had but I hate it because the UI is awful. It’s all preset based with presets I never use when there’s only like 4 options to adjust, so I need to figure out which preset is closest to what I want then adjust it from there because none of the presets are good for anything without adjust them.
It makes buying things a bit of an ordeal, but on the other hand, I can’t say I really dislike usually deciding to not buy something until I can do more research on it.
It also means that getting me a gift that would be something I’d really care about is going to be very difficult if you want it to be a surprise. I am picky as hell and hate badly designed shit, which includes most things. So I’ll appreciate the thought and effort of a gift but can also resent that either this thing that I didn’t choose is now a part of my life or I’ll have to feel bad and ungrateful for getting a better version that won’t annoy me each time I use it.
I feel you on the gift part. I’m quite picky about shitty products. That being said, I don’t complain when I receive a gift I don’t necessarily like, I just grumble when I use said gift in private.
